If you played this game as a child, then you probably remember one important thing:
if you swung your fingers too hard during the “fly away” part, the sticker would fall off and ruin the whole game.

One of the greatest tests of any institution is how it conducts itself during elections.

Elections should create healthy competition that strengthens the institution through debate, participation, and fresh thinking. But emotions also come into play. People become passionate about candidates, ideas, and visions for the future.

The problem begins when elections stop being about leadership and vision and start becoming personal.

And in FA, personal issues can run deep very quickly.

Over time, Fako America itself begins to suffer. Leaders become distracted managing divisions instead of focusing on vision, growth, and service. Relationships become strained. Suspicion replaces trust. Unity slowly begins to weaken.

WE DON’T WANT THAT.

At the end of this election season, we will still belong to the same FA.
We will still attend the same events.
Support the same projects.
Dance to the same music.

That is why we must be careful not to swing too hard during this election season.

Because just like in the “Two Little Black Birds” game, if you swing too wildly, you risk losing the sticker and ruining the entire game.

The beauty of the game was never in Peter flying away or Paul flying away.

The beauty was in both of them coming back and sitting on the wall.
