As Fako America prepares to begin the next phase of its Community Water Project in November, one chapter has already stepped forward in a meaningful way. FECA Minnesota has unanimously committed $2,500 to the project, bringing together individual member support and a direct contribution from the chapter.
The contribution reflects a simple but effective approach: $1,000 came through offerings from individual FECA Minnesota members, while the chapter committed an additional $1,500 from its own funds. Together, the two efforts brought the chapter’s total commitment to $2,500.
The Fako America Community Water Project seeks to provide reliable access to clean water to underserved communities in the Limbe II Council area of Fako Division. The current phase is scheduled to begin in November 2026, with Fako America working to raise $30,000 toward the work ahea
FECA Minnesota’s contribution brings the project another step closer to its goal. More importantly, their example offers a model that other chapters can adapt. Every chapter is different in size, resources, and circumstances. The goal is not for every chapter to raise the same amount, but for each chapter to consider what it can do.
A chapter may organize a fundraiser, invite voluntary contributions from its members, make a contribution from chapter funds, reach out to friends and supporters, or combine several of these approaches. What matters most is participation and the collective effort to move the project forward.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the members and leadership of FECA Minnesota for stepping forward and helping build momentum for this important project. Imagine what we can accomplish if chapters across Fako America take up the challenge in their own way.
